So this is what God nudged me to blog about today … Freedom!

Wow! We could go many directions with this, but I feel like I am to keep it short and simple today … so here goes!

Let’s define freedom first: the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint

Now let’s look at a bible verse on freedom:  “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

Interesting that the world’s definition is much the same as God’s … except for one obvious difference, it’s the Spirit of the Lord that gives us our freedom, not the world! Wow, this really hit me, powerful to say the least!

Are you in a place where you need freedom, do you know where to turn? It’s right here before us, of course … His Spirit!

Yeah, some of you out there may be saying, this is too obvious, think again … we all know many struggling for freedom, right? They struggle as they don’t have freedom in Christ.

Let’s ask ourselves, so what are we going to do about it, sit back or show them? My heart aches to see many struggle as they are confined with their sins, their bad choices which may have led to tough circumstances, yet it’s so simple. We can show them just how to enjoy the same freedom we do … by introducing them to the one that freed us all!

As we go about this holiday weekend, I would not be surprised if most of us cross the path of someone struggling to be set free or have liberty from something, or someone. Are we going to be still, or help them?

Just a thought …

One I am pondering, I hope you’ll ponder it too!

Have a safe, blessed “freedom filled” weekend!
